Everneath Review and Giveaway?

Title: Everneath
Author: Brodi Ashton
Release Date: January 3rd, 2012

Publisher: Balzer + Bray
Source: Publisher

Last spring, Nikki Beckett vanished, sucked into an underworld known as the Everneath, where immortals Feed on the emotions of despairing humans. Now she's returned- to her old life, her family, her friends- before being banished back to the underworld... this time forever.

She has six months before the Everneath comes to claim her, six months for good-byes she can't find the words for, six months to find redemption, if it exists.

Nikki longs to spend these months reconnecting with her boyfriend, Jack, the one person she loves more than anything. But there's a problem: Cole, the smoldering immortal who first enticed her to the Everneath, has followed Nikki to the mortal world. And he'll do whatever it takes to bring her back- this time as his queen.

As Nikki's time grows short and her relationships begin slipping from her grasp, she's forced to make the hardest decision of her life: find a way to cheat fate and remain on the Surface with Jack or return to the Everneath and become Cole's..

Nikki is in the Everneath, she is just awakening from a feed that has lasted 100 years. The entire time someone has been with her... Cole, but during the feed she kept seeing the face of a boy, a boy with brown eyes, it is his face that has gotten her through the terrible feed. Once Nikki awakens, Cole realizes that Nikki is special, she has survived the feed, still young and sane. This has only happened once before ....a very long time ago. Cole immediately knows that he has to make Nikki his, so that he and Nikki can rule hell together.

When given the option of staying with Cole or going back home for 6 months... the decision isn't hard for her. She has to return home and find the boy with brown eyes, she knows she knows him but can't remember his name. Why has she seen him over and over again in her dreams for over 100 years? Nikki's decision outrages Cole and he follows her back from the Everneath to convince her that she needs to go back with him and be immortal or the tunnels will take her, using her, and draining her energy until she just ceases to exist.

It doesn't take Nikki long once she is home to figure out who the boy with brown eyes is, it's Jack! Her boyfriend from before the feed. He has kept her hanging on to her humanity for a hundred years. Nikki has only 6 months to make things right, only 6 months to say goodbye, or 6 months to find redemption so that she can stay with Jack. Nikki will get no more than 6 months, her clock is ticking! She has a shade inside of her to guarantee that her debt will be paid on time. All the while Cole is trying to tear Jack and Nikki apart, for one thing their love can destroy everything that Cole is working for...and he isn't going to give up without a fight... but either are Nikki and Jack.

Will Nikki find out how to beat the tunnels which are coming for her? Or will she have to leave jack and be dragged back to hell by Cole?

This book has left me breathless. I didn't expect a whole lot going into it, but it had a description worth dying for. I mean come on ... Nikki comes back from hell for Jack! How romantic is that? But nothing is easy for this young love. Cole is an Everling, something that needs to feed from humans to stay alive, and he wants Nikki by his side while he rules the Everneath, and he will stop at nothing to claim what he believes belongs to him.

Ashton writes about something we all long to have, a love that will overcome anything, even a world that is against them. It's tender, touching, and romantic. It reminded me of a high school boyfriend that I had, when they flash back to the day they first met, all the butterflies you feel, with that giddy feeling that just makes you feel that everything is right with the world. Jack is willing to do anything for Nikki... and by anything I mean anything! He will face hell with her to try and save her from something that seems like it's impossible to defeat.

I would read this book over and over again. It is bound to become a classic amongst the young adult/ paranormal world. Once you open the book and begin reading, it's so hard to put down. It has everything anyone is looking for! Romance, deaf defying odds, adventure, action... and what did it for me.... I had goose bumps. Never before has a book given me goose bumps before, and left me longing for more like this book did. I can't wait for the sequel.A deliciously devious book, with a shocking ending left me on the edge of my seat until the very last sentence. I am in love with Everneath!

This book deserves way more stars than I have a scale for!

Okay I know that many of you are aching to get your hands of a copy of the Everneath. But the issue I am having is that I have been contacting winners, and not hearing anything back from anyone. So here is my solution. To make sure that those of you entering are paying attention to the blog as well, I will NOT post a giveaway for this delicious ARC until I have at least 50 comments on this post. At that time I would be more than happy to offer up my ARC of Everneath by Brodi Ashton to one lucky winner! So Comment Away...

EdenFantasys Testimonial

Its that time again for me to rave about the BEST sex toy company out there... we all know which one I am talking about! I recently found some products that I love on EdenFantasys and would love to give you a look at them. As always when the package arrived it was discreet, with the name Web Merchants on the box. That could be anyone. So unless you share with someone where it came from, they will think its just some other Joe schmoe company on the web.

First up I got the Naughty People Chemise made by Coquette. Its a great little company that has a wide range of sizes, for everyone from an XS to a 3X. Not many people make lingerie, let alone cute lingerie for bigger sizes, but they do and EdenFantasys carries that line.

It has adorable little naked people all over it. They are animated, but it is still explicit due to their naughty parts showing. I find this so adorable. Where I am shorter it hits me right above the knee, so its not revealing at all. Plus its made from cotton... its so soft. As an added bonus you can get a matching thong, and you can get that special guy in your life matching boxer briefs!

Another awesome product that I found through EdenFantasys is the We-Vibe II. I have heard great things about this vibe, but never ventured out to buy it until lately. It has a horseshoe shape, and has various vibration settings. I love the looks of it! It looks very sleek, and most people don't know what it is, if they see it.

I find this to be a very neat toy. It has ridging on the inside of each little wing. It is also super flexible! You can bend this thing the other way if needed. Also it is rechargeable! No more wasting those nasty batteries and watching your money go out the window.

Both of these products are available through ... they really are "the sex toy company you can trust."

Killer Book Alert!

Title: The Faerie Ring
Author: Kiki Hamilton

Publisher: Tor Teen

Release Date: September 27 2011

Debut novelist Kiki Hamilton takes readers from the gritty slums and glittering ballrooms of Victorian London to the beguiling but menacing Otherworld of the Fey in this spellbinding tale of romance, suspense, and danger.
The year is 1871, and Tiki has been making a home for herself and her family of orphans in a deserted hideaway adjoining Charing Cross Station in central London. Their only means of survival is by picking pockets. One December night, Tiki steals a ring, and sets off a chain of events that could lead to all-out war with the Fey. For the ring belongs to Queen Victoria, and it binds the rulers of England and the realm of Faerie to peace. With the ring missing, a rebel group of faeries hopes to break the treaty with dark magic and blood—Tiki’s blood.
Unbeknownst to Tiki, she is being watched—and protected—by Rieker, a fellow thief who suspects she is involved in the disappearance of the ring. Rieker has secrets of his own, and Tiki is not all that she appears to be. Her very existence haunts Prince Leopold, the Queen’s son, who is driven to know more about the mysterious mark that encircles her wrist.
Prince, pauper, and thief—all must work together to secure the treaty…

My Thoughts:
This book looks so delicious! I mean look at that trailer. I do think that the cover could be a little more eye appealing. I honestly probably wouldn't pick up this book on the cover alone, but the description sounds amazing. I mean a country's treaty with the Fae brought on by a ring? AMAZING! I will definitely be picking up a copy of this once its released!

Cover Alert: Pandemonium (Delirium #2)

Series: Delirium
Publisher: HarperTEEN
Release Date: Mar 6th, 2012

Lauren Oliver captivated readers with Delirium, the first book in a thrilling dystopian trilogy in which Lena Haloway dared to fall in love with Alex and escape the cure, the government-mandated procedure that renders a person immune to the disease of love. Lena and Alex staked their lives on leaving their oppressive society, but only Lena broke free.

Pandemonium continues Lena’s gripping story. After escaping from Portland, Maine, Lena makes it to the Wilds and becomes part of an Invalid community, where she transforms herself into a warrior for the resistance. A future without Alex is unimaginable, but Lena pushes forward and fights, both for him and for a world in which love is no longer considered a disease. Swept up in a volatile mix of revolutionaries and counterinsurgents, Lena struggles to survive—and wonders if she may be falling in love again.

Full of danger, forbidden romance, and exquisite writing, Lauren Oliver’s sequel to Delirium races forward at a breathtaking pace and is sure to appeal to fans who crave the high-stakes action of The Hunger Games and the bittersweet love story of Romeo & Julie

This is just a delicious looking cover! It makes me want to read it even more than I did at the end of Delirium! Being from Maine its insane to read all the places in Portland that I have been to end up in the book, because I know exactly what they look like and Lauren Oliver is able to describe them in such detail, that I feel like I am there. Needless to say I can't wait to get a copy of Pandemonium!

Bone Suckin Sauce Review

I had the great opportunity to work with an awesome company about a month ago. The companies name is Bone Suckin and they make some of the most delicious sauces I have ever had the pleasure of trying.

We received the following sauces:
Bone Suckin Sauce
This sauce had an amazing flavor! It reminded my husband and I of something that you would get from Hawaii. It has a very tropical hint of flavor to it. We thought maybe a tad of pineapple? It has a sweet and sour type of flavor but not heavy on the vinegar flavor. It was excellent on chicken and we also incorporated some into a meatloaf for a fantastic kick of flavor!

Bone Suckin Yaki
This was a fantastic sauce! and it was our favorite out of the sauces that we received. I ate this on EVERTHING! I even went as far as dipping my chips in it! I have never tasted a Teriyaki sauce that was so complex! It had a slightly salty, with a yummy sweet flavor. I just couldn't get enough of it! When it was gone it was like losing your best friend... I may have shed a few tears... but shhh that will be our little secret.

Sweet and Hot Mustard
I am a huge mustard person, so by sending me this Sweet and Hot Mustard, Bone Suckin has made me an addict! It has a sweet yellow mustard flavor and then you get that lovely kick from the chunks of Jalapeno in there.... its like a flavor explosion! This mustard adds a yummy kick to sandwhiches, burgers, hotdogs ... you name it, you can put this mustard on it!

Overall I loved these sauces and I will be purchasing them again in the future. They took all the types of flavors you know and love and added a delicious twist which just has me lovin this Bone Suckin company! Whatever they are doing.... they're doing it right!

One Night With A Wolf Review

Title: One Night With a Wolf
Author: Rebecca Royce
Publisher: Decadent Publishing Company
Release Date: June 1, 2011
Source: Author (Thanks!!)

Joseph Penn is a Werewolf who has come to New York City to celebrate his sister’s birthday. Having been turned against his will years earlier in a violent attack, he spends as little time as possible away from his secluded home. Sitting in the bar, waiting for his sister, he’s shocked when he receives an unexpected text from his old friend, Madame Evangeline, the owner of the exclusive dating service, 1Night Stand, telling him he’s being set up with a woman in that very bar.

Kaylee Post has lost her boyfriend, her job, and her self-confidence. Intending to celebrate her friend’s birthday at the Manhattan restaurant, she never expects instead to have a one-night stand with a wolf who will change her life in ways she can’t yet imagine.

Joseph Penn has arrived at a bar in New York City for his sister's birthday party. While he is sitting there alone waiting, he starts to realize that its been a while since his arrival and still his sister has shown. Thats when he receives a text from a madame Evangeline, someone he met in Las Vegas, stating that his sister wouldn't be arriving, that this whole meeting was orchestrated to fix him up with the beautiful blonde to his right, two stools down from him.

When Joseph lays eyes on Kaylee for the first time, he can't help but think that she is the most beautiful thing he has ever seen. She is all woman, with curves, beautiful blonde hair and blue eyes that are so deep they are almost violet. His first thoughts are to leave and allow her to believe that his sister is still coming, but let her be stood up. Joe is a gentleman and can't allow the blonde to sit there by herself thinking someone will show, when she won't.

As soon as Kaylee sets eyes on Joe all she can think about is getting him back to her hotel room, but Kaylee has never thought about sleeping with a man the first night she meets him and is terrified that he is going to think of her as a slut. She is shocked when he agrees to go back to the hotel with her and that he is treating her like the lady she is, regardless of her forwardness.

There is one catch though. Tonight is the last night that Kaylee will spend in the city. She is moving somewhere.... she just doesn't know where yet. Kaylee was blacklisted by a chef in whom her boyfriend slept with his wife, now no one in the city will hire her as a pastry chef and she is leaving town to find employment.

Joe doesn't plan on letting her go that easy though. Will Kaylee stay or will she leave town with Joe's heart in tow?

One night with a wolf is a short story full of passion, romance, and shifter allure. Its very fast paced and you are quickly thrown into Kaylee and Joe's world of regrets and hopes for the future. I never thought it possible to fit such a huge story plot into a tiny little package and have it be executed with such perfection.

I was able to read One Night With a Wolf from start to finish in about 30 minutes. In that time I learned about everything I needed to in order to fully enjoy the story. I even found myself routing for the characters to have a happy ending. One Night With a Wolf is full of hot steamy passion that will leave you longing for more of this delicious book. This is book one of The 1 Night Stand Series ... after reading this I can't wait to see what else Rebecca Royce has up her sleeve for the rest of this series!

Bite Me Review

Title: Bite Me
Author: Parker Blue
Publisher: Bell Bridge Books
Release Date: September 30, 2008
Source: Bought/ Kindle
Kindle Lending: Disabled

An edgy book for teens that spans the gap between YA and adult fiction. Life after high school is tough enough without having to go 15 rounds with your inner demon. Val Shapiro is just your ordinary, part-demon, teenaged vampire hunter with a Texas drawl. And a pet hellhound named Fang. Soon enough she finds herself deep in the underbelly of the city, discovering the secrets of the Demon Underground and fighting to save those she loves. Whether they love her back or not.

Val Shaprio has a loving family, an awesome little sister, and she is a succubus to boot. She hunts vampires to ease the hunger that her demon feels. But on her birthday her world is turned upside down when her little sister Jen follows her on a vampire hunt, (On which she meets a hunky Special Crimes Unit agent.) and when Val doesn't get her home before her parents found out, her parents kick her out of the house and forbid her to ever see her sister again. Even worse her mother is acting like Val isn't even her daughter anymore.

Val goes on a vampire hunt to ease her pain of being disowned and while on her hunt she meets a dog named Fang, a Hellhound who can smell vampires, and has taken a liking to Val. With money running out and no other option she contacts Dan (Hunky SCU guy) in hopes that he can get her a job seeing what he does isn't that different from what she does.... only he gets paid for it.

So now Val has a job.... but what about a place to live? She can't stay in the hotel forever with Fang and her money is running out. She asks Dan to keep an ear out for someone looking for a roommate and he has the perfect solution. His sister Gwen lives in a townhouse and could use a roommate and she loves dogs! Everything seems to be falling into place for Val she has a job and a home that she loves and new friends, but one thing threatens to take everything from her.... maybe even her life.

A vampire in town named Alejandro is starting a new vampire movement. He has open blood banks in which allow donors to come in and donate to vampires so that vampires dont risk in killing their victims anymore. But Val and Dan are on alert because something doesn't seem to be adding up. That's when they get a tip from Micha...Val's long lost cousin letting them know that Val's sister Jen is somehow involved with the vampire movement. Upon contacting Jen she realizes that her sister is being mind controlled by a vampire but can't figure out who. Will Val and Dan save Jen before its too late?

I loved this book! It has a nice pace to it. I was quickly sucked into Val's world of evil and maybe nice vampires. All while she is fighting her inner demon Lola and her attraction to her partner Dan. This is a young adult book and in no way has swearing or strong sexual content. I would suggest it to the 14 and Up crowd due to a hot and heavy make out scene, and all the vampire violence.

Bite Me is a delicious take on paranormal young adult books. It has everything you are looking for. A kick ass heroine ... and it so happens to be a chick which rocks my ever lovin socks. A little romance with Dan, and an adorable puppy who also happens to be a bad ass hellhound. I loved it!
