SodaStream Review and Giveaway

I got the pleasure of working with a great company this week called SodaStream. I was offered a SodaStream Jet Soda Maker and assorted Flavorings for review purposes. Of course I jumped on this opportunity.

The UPS guy delivered the SodaStream to my house in a HUGE box. I was shocked at how large the box was when it got here. I was expecting something smaller because I thought that it would have the SodaStream Soda Maker and a sampler of flavors, but SodaStream hooked me up! I opened the box to find the SodaStream Jet Soda Maker, 10 regular sized bottles of flavoring, 2 regular sized bottles of the naturals flavoring and a set of three regular sized water flavoring. I was amazed at how much I was sent.

Of course right away I hooked up the soda maker by attaching the included c2 tank and filling the included 1 liter bottle with water. I went to attach the bottle to the soda maker. In order to do this you need to screw it into the soda maker one handed... this takes a little while to master, but the more you do it, the easier it gets. Well here is where it gets interesting... I screwed the bottle on to the soda maker and apparently I didn't screw it on all the way because when I hit the button for the carbonation I got covered in water. We had company on the day this happened and needless to say its still the highlight of the year lol. So my advice? make sure your bottle is screwed into the machine all the way before attempting the carbonation process.

To carbonate the water you pump the button on the top of the machine until you hear 3 loud buzzes. Then your water is completely carbonated. Now you get to add your choice of flavor, screw on the cap and slowly tip the bottle back and forth to mix the soda.... last step? ENJOY!

I received a lot of flavors both Diet, regular and water flavorings. We found that our favorite flavoring is the Energy flavor. It tastes exactly like Red Bull and at a fraction of the price its more affordable, and you don't have all those cans hanging around. My husbands favorite is the Cran-Raspberry... it tastes like a carbonated punch. We tried every flavor and there wasn't one flavor that we disliked.

  3. I remember these from my younger years living at home, it was fab :o) We used to have one, but all our local supermarkets stopped selling the gas and concentrate for them...however I've noticed they are slowly making their way back over here in the UK in selected places....I'd love to review them!! (Memories of cola floaties = yum!)

  4. Yeah we really love ours... and can't tell you how much money we have saved on soda and how much waste we have cut down on in bottles. And we luck out and have a SodaStream retailer locally that sells the gas tanks ... which rocks but you can also get them on the SodaStreamusa.com website :)
