Beware of a kiss under the full moon. It will change your life forever.
Celeste Parker is used to hearing scary stories about werewolves—Legend's Run is famous for them. She's used to everything in the small town until Brandon Maddox moves to Legend's Run and Celeste finds herself immediately drawn to the handsome new student. But when, after an unnerving visit with a psychic, she encounters a pack of wolves and gorgeous, enigmatic Brandon, she must discover whether his transformation is more than legend or just a trick of the shadows in the moonlight.
Her best friends may never forgive her if she gives up her perfect boyfriend, Nash, for Brandon, who's from the wrong side of town. But she can't deny her attraction or the strong pull he has on her. Brandon may be Celeste's hero, or he may be the most dangerous creature she could encounter in the woods of Legend's Run.
Psychic predictions, generations-old secrets, a town divided, and the possibility of falling in love with a hot and heroic werewolf are the perfect formula for what happens . . . once in a full moon.

Celeste Parker is the ideal high school student. She is popular, dates the hottest guy in school, is invited to the best parties and has awesomely shallow but loyal friends. Celeste is dating Nash, he is a hot meat head jock, who up until they started dating, Celeste had a crush on since she was a kid. That was until she met the new bad boy Brandon Maddox.

Brandon is new in town and living on the Westside of town with his grandmother. His father is a scientist and his work has once again taken him out of the country for work. Brandon is intrigued by Celeste from the moment he set eyes on her, but how can he even attempt to get close to he lives on the wrong side of town and with her dating Nash?

One day Celeste is walking home from having her fortune read on the Westside of town. She decides to cut through the woods thinking that it would be a shorter trip home. Suddenly she is caught in a snow storm and can't see where she is going. Celeste begins to hear howls in the distance and is soon surrounded by a pack of wolves. She begins to yell for help, but it doesn't appear that anyone can hear her, just as she begins to give up hope Brandon Maddox comes to her rescue. Brandon takes on the wolves and comes out almost unscathed ... that is except for the wolf bite that is now on his hand.

Once in a Full Moon is full of action and romance. The characters are very well developed. Celeste and Brandon slowly build a budding romance.... It is not at all rushed and there is much more to their romance than just being attracted to one another, which in today's books is a hard thing to find. I loved watching how they went from being friends to being more. Its a forbidden romance seeing as he is from the wrong side of town. No one at their school will even look twice at him, but Celeste can't take her eyes off of him. Celeste's friends can't know about their relationship because they would shun her from their group, but she can't help but want to be with Brandon. No one makes her feel the way that he can. It has been a really long time since I have read a young adult paranormal romance, that at the end of the book I was like wow.... I have to read this book again!

  1. For some reason I though this was a sequel to another book so I didn't pay much attention to it. I've really enjoyed all the other werewolf books I've read. I like how their relationship isn't rushed like many others in YA. I'm looking forward to reading this one now. Great review!
