Seventeen-year-old Teagan McNeel falls for captivating Garreth Adams and soon discovers that her crush has an eight-point star etched into the palm of his right hand-the mark of an angel.
But where there is light, dark follows, and she and Garreth suddenly find themselves vulnerable to a dark angel's malicious plan that could threaten not only her life, but the lives of everyone she knows.

Teagen is an unpopular seventeen year old, just trying to make it through high school. New boy Garreth, who happens to be the most beautiful person she has ever set eyes on, seems to be attracting the attention of every girl in her high school. But Garreth has set his eyes on Teagen.

Garreth couldn't help but want to know the one person he has known her whole life... the girl who he is risking everything to meet. He has broken unspoken rules to know her. He has loved her forever. There is one issue... she doesn't know who he is!

As Teagen and Garreth begin getting close to one another, he tells her that he is her Guardian, the angel that has been sent to look after her and make sure no harm comes to her. He has risked becoming human to be with her. No other angel has ever fell for their charge before. Until now that is...

First off... I thought that Angel Star has amazing potential. Lately its hard to find a fantastic angel falls for human book, because it has been done time and again. I just couldn't believe the love that was supposed to exist between Garreth and Teagen was true. Garreth expresses right off the bat, that he is madly in love with her. But the book never expresses how this love came about. Why he is willing to risk everything for her, just that he loves her. I think I needed a little bit more development between Garreth and Teagen before love was expressed so strongly.

I do love the triangle that develops between Teagen, Garreth and Hadrian ... I personally was routing for Hadrian the whole time, I just couldn't help it. Hadrian has that irresistible bad boy image, and he had a motive to want Teagen, where I just felt that Garreth didn't. Hadrian was a very well developed character, in a way I wish he had been a bit more of a main character. In the next book I would love to see more of him.

Over all Angel Star was a great book, with amazing potential. I would have easily given it 5 stars if only the main love story was more developed and believable. I did read it in one sitting, but only because I wanted to see what happened to Hadrian, I wasn't overly concerned with the rest of the characters. I will be picking up the sequel out of curiosity... to see if the story will end in the way I want it to. The ending in Angel Star is left so open, that anything can happen in the next book... Can't Wait!

I am team Hadrian... What team are you?
