Description:
Algonquin “Ali” Rhodes, the high school newspaper’s music critic, meets an intriguing singer, Doug, while reviewing a gig. He’s a weird-looking guy—goth, but he seems sincere about it, like maybe he was into it back before it was cool. She introduces herself after the set, asking if he lives in Cornersville, and he replies, in his slow, quiet murmur, “Well, I don’t really live there, exactly. . . .”

When Ali and Doug start dating, Ali is falling so hard she doesn’t notice a few odd signs: he never changes clothes, his head is a funny shape, and he says practically nothing out loud. Finally Marie, the school paper’s fashion editor, points out the obvious: Doug isn’t just a really sincere goth. He’s a zombie. Horrified that her feelings could have allowed her to overlook such a flaw, Ali breaks up with Doug, but learns that zombies are awfully hard to get rid of—at the same time she learns that vampires, a group as tightly-knit as the mafia, don’t think much of music critics who make fun of vampires in reviews. . . .

My Thoughts:
I thought I Kissed A Vampire and I Liked It was such a cute read! I loved the characters and how the books was developed. The writing makes you feel like you are right there with Alley and her friends.

Alley is known in her school as the Ice Queen of the Vicious circle. Her and her friends write for the schools newspaper, which now resides on a webpage. They take in all the gossip and put it in their articles but they always have a way of making a twist on it to make it in some sense cruel.

Alley hates everything that is associated with her town, except her friends of course. Ever since all the "post-humans" came out of hiding, every girl in school wants to be with one of them or convert to being one of the undead. Alley wants nothing to do with anything that is dead or other wise that will make her want to stay after high school has ended. That is until she meets Doug!

Doug  is a stand in for The Sorry Marios, a local band made up of the undead kids from school, That Alley needs to do an article on. Immediately Alley is attracted to Doug. He is the only one in town that seems to know the definition of goth and he knows Alley's favorite songs and what they are about. There is only one issue... Doug is a zombie! He has to drink embalming fluid every 4 hours or he will crumble.

Will wants Alley, Doug wants Alley.... But Alley doesn't know what she wants! I kissed a zombie is a cute easy read. I actually caught myself laughing out loud at some points... its been sooo long since I have done that with a book. I found the ending very sad but sweet in the same moment. So if you ever get the chance to pick up I Kissed a Zombie and I Liked It... Read it!
